The Crystal Ballroom's Crystal Chandeliers

Ben Lomond Suites' crystal chandeliers were installed in 1927 and still twinkle in the Crystal Ballroom.

The chandeliers are over 5 feet tall and sparkle with thousands of crystals.

Wedding cupcakes are a cute and simple alternative to the classic wedding cake for a modern bride. Wedding cupcakes can be displayed beautifully in cupcake trees. Brides can choose a greater variety of flavors than with a classic wedding cake and there is no mess from cutting a large cake.

Wedding Reception in Ogden Utah

This bride's wedding reception turned out just beautifully. Her choice of antique gold, cream and blue floral center pieces looked wonderful in our historic ballroom.

Blue and Purple Wedding Reception in Ogden, Utah

We hosted a very pretty wedding ceremony and reception this weekend. The bride's colors were blue and purple. The couple got married in the Sunlit Room and had the wedding reception in the Crystal Ballroom. A great time was had by all. Congratulations to the bride and groom, may you have a joyful life together.

Circular Buffet Line

The events manager at Ben Lomond Suites came up with a very pretty circular buffet line for an upcoming event.

The circular buffet will help ease and direct the flow of guests through the buffet line.

Ogden's Venue for Banquets and Events Since 1927

This is a great photo of a banquet held in the Sunlit Room before the hotel's 1980s renovation. At the time of this photo the room was called the Oak Room. 

The photo above is what the Sunlit Room looks like now. If you compare the two photos you can see the changes that took place during the 1980s renovation of the hotel. The brick was plastered over, the upper balconies replaced with windows, the lower doors to the hotel's dining room were replaced with windows and the ornate decorations above those doors were removed. I find the type of curtains that were originally in the Sunlit Room very interesting. I wish that we still had the decorative grates that covered the vents on both sides of the fire place in the earlier photo.
