Bagpipes at Ben Lomond Suites, Ogden Utah

Ben Lomond Suites was named after Mt. Ben Lomond in Scotland so we had bagpipers playing on the roof of the hotel at our ribbon cutting in 2011.

Historic Details of the Sunlit Party Room

Fireplace in the Sunlit Room
The employee who took these photos has worked at the hotel for two and a half years and only noticed the faces carved into the Sunlit Room's ceiling when she looked closely at the photos below. It is amazing the amount of detail contained in this beautiful building. It is so fun to discover things that you missed on first or second glance.

This final photo was taken at the same time as the other photos, using the same camera, settings and lights. It is amazing how changing the focus of the camera can change how the camera reads the light.

Views of Ogden's Christmas Village

There are spectacular views of Ogden's Christmas Village from the hotel, especially the Grandview Party Room on the 11th floor and the 01 hotel suites. The Ogden Christmas Light Parade, that announces the opening of Ogden's Christmas Village, the Saturday after Thanksgiving passes right by the hotel on Washington Avenue and hotel guests can watch the parade from their suites.

Bigelow Crest

This is the Bigelow Crest from when the Bigelow Hotel was built in 1927. This crest is above the fire place in the Sunlit Party Room in Ogden's Ben Lomond Suites Historic Hotel.

This version of the Bigelow crest is above the 25th Street entrance to the hotel. Utah is the beehive state, we are guessing that, that is the reason for the beehives off to the sides of the crest.

Historic Detail From Ogden's Historic Hotel

This is a historic detail of the Ben Lomond Suites fireplace. The fireplace is located in the hotel's Sunlit room. The fireplace is original to the building and dates back to at least1927, when the hotel's towers were added to the Reed Hotel and the hotel's name was changed to the Bigelow Hotel.
