Ogden's Venue for Banquets and Events Since 1927

This is a great photo of a banquet held in the Sunlit Room before the hotel's 1980s renovation. At the time of this photo the room was called the Oak Room. 

The photo above is what the Sunlit Room looks like now. If you compare the two photos you can see the changes that took place during the 1980s renovation of the hotel. The brick was plastered over, the upper balconies replaced with windows, the lower doors to the hotel's dining room were replaced with windows and the ornate decorations above those doors were removed. I find the type of curtains that were originally in the Sunlit Room very interesting. I wish that we still had the decorative grates that covered the vents on both sides of the fire place in the earlier photo.

Wedding Reception Catering Ogden, Utah

This wedding reception was so pretty. I love the flowers and colors they chose. MacCool's did a beautiful job catering this wedding.

Weber State Graduation Party

Weber State had a graduation party in the Grandview Party room this week. We love the Weber State pride with the purple chair sashes.

You have to love a simple center piece. To recreate this center piece just arrange an empty wine bottle, a couple silk flowers, glass pebbles and a string of gold bead on a piece of cut glass. It adds a punch of color without much effort.

Hot Air Balloon Themed Wedding in Ogden, Utah

We hosted the cutest hot air balloon themed wedding reception in April 2013. The couple got married in a hot air balloon and then decorated their wedding reception with balloons dressed up as hot air balloons.

The hot air balloon center pieces were created by placing a loose mesh, made of ribbon, over a helium balloon and tying the ribbon to the flower basket below.

The bride and groom customized the Grandview Party Room by bringing in a white window backdrop. This bride and groom borrowed the backdrop from a friend, but backdrops like this can be rented from party supply rental companies.

Company Holiday Parties in Ogden, Utah

We are getting ready for Ben Lomond Suites' first holiday party of the season. It looks like it will be a fun event.
