Ogden's Venue for Banquets and Events Since 1927


This is a great photo of a banquet held in the Sunlit Room before the hotel's 1980s renovation. At the time of this photo the room was called the Oak Room. 


The photo above is what the Sunlit Room looks like now. If you compare the two photos you can see the changes that took place during the 1980s renovation of the hotel. The brick was plastered over, the upper balconies replaced with windows, the lower doors to the hotel's dining room were replaced with windows and the ornate decorations above those doors were removed. I find the type of curtains that were originally in the Sunlit Room very interesting. I wish that we still had the decorative grates that covered the vents on both sides of the fire place in the earlier photo.
